Privacy
Your yard plan stays yours.
This policy explains how Yard Material Lab handles local planning data, optional cloud accounts, paid subscriptions and support messages for users around the world. It also describes the current status of analytics and advertising.
Operator and international audience
Yard Material Lab is operated by an individual based in Mainland China and serves users internationally. The service is currently provided in English and is not presented as a China-only service.
The initial paid launch is planned primarily for users in the United States. Yard Material Lab does not currently direct paid advertising, targeted paid-plan marketing or a paid launch at consumers in the European Union or United Kingdom. We will review and update the required operator, data-controller and business-address disclosures before that scope changes.
The current public support contact is support@yardmateriallab.com. We do not publish government identification documents or unnecessary private details. Before paid checkout or active targeting in a market that requires more disclosure, we will provide any legally required operator identity and business contact information through an appropriate legal or checkout notice.
Information handled on this device
Yard projects, measurements, material choices and uploaded plan images are processed in your browser and stored locally on your device by default.
If you sign in and choose Sync now, the current project state and any referenced uploaded plan image are sent to Supabase and stored in private cloud storage so the project can be restored on your other devices. Yard Material Lab does not start a cloud upload merely because you visit or sign in.
Clearing browser storage, using private browsing or changing devices may remove locally saved projects.
Information you send to us
If you email support, we receive the information in your message, your email address and any files you choose to attach. We use it only to respond, investigate issues and improve the service.
Accounts, payments and service providers
Supabase processes account email, password-authentication data and browser session tokens. It stores a profile record, access entitlements and synced project data in Postgres, and stores uploaded plan images in a private Storage bucket. A default profile label may be derived from the portion of the account email before the @ symbol. Database and Storage access rules restrict each signed-in account to its own cloud projects.
Subscriptions are available through PayPal. PayPal processes payment details and recurring payments. Yard Material Lab stores the account-to-subscription link, plan, payment status and paid-access dates needed to provide membership and support. We do not store full payment-card numbers or raw payment webhook payloads.
Yard Material Lab operates the planning service and remains responsible for its product, account information and customer support. PayPal processes information under its own privacy notice. Any historical FastSpring transaction remains subject to the transaction terms on its original receipt.
International processing
Because Yard Material Lab serves users internationally, Supabase, support-email services and PayPal may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Privacy laws may differ between those locations.
We use service providers only for the functions described in this policy and remain responsible for explaining our own use of personal information. Each provider also applies its own privacy and security terms.
Analytics, advertising and cookies
Google AdSense is the intended advertising provider for the free service, but AdSense code, advertising requests and non-essential advertising cookies are not currently active. Advertising will remain disabled until the site is approved, the final Publisher ID is configured and the required privacy controls are tested.
Before advertising is enabled, Yard Material Lab intends to configure Google Privacy & messaging for applicable US state choices and a Google-certified European regulations message. Users will receive required consent or opt-out choices and a way to reopen them. Advertising requests to the European Union, United Kingdom and Switzerland will remain disabled until market-specific legal and technical review is complete.
Optional analytics and advertising have separate choices. Allowing analytics does not enable advertising or change your advertising privacy settings.
Optional analytics choices
Only if you choose Allow analytics, Yard Material Lab loads Google Analytics 4 to measure page visits, broad referral sources, valid calculator use after an input change, and clicks on paid-plan buttons. The initial example result is not counted as calculator use. A plan-button click is not a confirmed purchase.
Your consent is the basis for optional analytics. Before you allow it, no Analytics script or event is sent to Google. Keeping analytics off does not limit the tools. You can allow or withdraw it using Analytics choices in the footer when analytics is available; withdrawing stops future measurement and clears this site's Analytics cookies. It does not delete information already sent to Google.
We send fixed public page names and coarse source categories, not raw URL queries, fragments, referral paths, measurements, prices, account emails, user IDs, project names or uploaded images. Google also processes browser and device information, approximate location and the network information needed to receive requests. We do not enable advertising personalization, Google Signals or automatic form tracking for this measurement.
Google Analytics uses first-party cookies with the yml prefix to distinguish consenting browser visits; they can remain for up to 180 days and may be renewed on later visits. Your allow/off preference is stored separately on this device for up to 180 days. Google may process analytics data internationally under its privacy terms. Clearing browser storage also clears your local choice, but may remove locally saved yard projects.
Advertising privacy choices
Advertising remains off. The site-wide Privacy choices link does not load Google code, send an advertising request or change a consent setting while Google Privacy & messaging is unavailable; it returns here instead.
If US state privacy messaging is enabled in the future, Google will provide its own separate Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link for visitors in applicable states. Yard Material Lab does not hide or replace that automatic US opt-out entrypoint, and the general Privacy choices link is not a US opt-out control.
Before any advertising is offered in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom or Switzerland, eligible visitors will be shown the required consent choices. The general Privacy choices link will reopen Google's European consent message only after the official consent API is ready and the IAB TCF API confirms that European regulations apply, allowing an eligible visitor to manage or withdraw consent. US, non-applicable and failed checks return to this explanation. Advertising requests for those regions remain disabled until the required legal and technical review is complete.
Retention, security and your choices
Local project data remains on the device until browser storage is cleared. Signing out or clearing browser storage does not delete a cloud copy. Synced projects and uploaded images remain in the cloud until they are deleted through a supported product flow or a verified support request. Self-service account deletion is not currently available, and a deletion request is not complete until the associated database rows and Storage objects have been removed. Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably needed for support, fraud prevention and legal obligations.
Cloud project data and plan images are stored privately for the owning account, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Yard Material Lab does not currently sell personal information. If advertising or analytics practices materially change, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated first.
Subject to applicable law, you may ask about access, correction, deletion or other privacy rights concerning information you sent us by emailing support@yardmateriallab.com.
